IMAGE DESCRIPTION: 
    A tree trunk slowly decaying with the help of several fungi
and moss in dappled sunlight.


DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: 
    The trunk and roots were created with
Forester's Arboretum tool - a recursive 3D tree generator (
http://www.dartnall.f9.co.uk/forester ).  Some additional modifications to the
trunk and roots were done in Art Of Illusion (AOI).  All other modeling was
done natively in AOI ( http://www.artofillusion.org ).  All texturing done in
AOI.  The trunk texture is from a digital photo I took.  All other textures
(including the background) were procedurally created in AOI. I used texture
displacement on moss, trunk, and morel caps.  Monte Carlo Global Illumination
was enabled.
