TITLE: Best wishes for a merry future! NAME: Paolo Gibellini COUNTRY: Italy EMAIL: p.gibellini@teinos.com WEBPAGE: none significant TOPIC: Future COPYRIGHT: I SUBMIT TO THE STANDARD RAYTRACING COMPETITION COPYRIGHT. JPGFILE: b_wishes.jpg ZIPFILE: b_wishes.zip RENDERER USED: Povray 3.5 TOOLS USED: Powray 3.5, 3DWin (to convert the shape of the reindeer), The Gimp (for the name on the image) RENDER TIME: 11 h 10' HARDWARE USED: Pentium II 333 MHz IMAGE DESCRIPTION: A powerful light is coming from outside, it is the future waiting for you outside the window... Often we are dreaming for a merry future, and equally often we are wishing to our friends a merry future. Now, next year is close at hand, and my immediate thought is to wish to you all a merry 2004 ;-) DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: This is my third raytracing work, and is realized with the whole editor of Povray, except the shape of the reindeer spying outside the window (it was an old CorelDRAW! shape, nevertheless not substantial for the overall scene). Tree decoration are realized by a macro. Tree shape is simple, because it is in background, and I've realized the festoon with a spiral spline. My original room was totally modified after reading a news posted by Bob R. POVrookie related to media attenuation, it was perfectly suitable for my idea. The texture of the parcel is composite, just the dots are reflecting as little mirrors. At first I've thought to do little stars, but there was no time, and I've used leopard pigment.
