===== From mraiford@hotmail.com: Good tech score on creating the macros to convert POV objects to meshes, but I have to wonder ... why not render in POV-Ray? There are many free tools to create the trees, and the textures don't look so complex as to warrant using a separate modeller just for the textures alone. ===== From helene.dumur@free.fr: I like the colors and the shapes, a good assemblage (I don't know if it's the right word in english..) ===== From pbrasolin@yahoo.it: Nice. Some of the textures are a bit monotonous and the sky is too much flat. //----------------Paolo Brasolin ===== From glenn@mccarters.net: A good effort. High technical marks for the extensive 'behind the scenes' work you did to blend the capabilities of POV-Ray with Vue dEsprit. You virtually rewrote many of POV's primitives in mesh form. Artistically, the image leaves some things to be desired. For example, the planes are flying as if in formation: perfectly straight, level, and in the same direction. And with the very low camera perspective, the nearest plane seems to be sitting on the ground. ===== From t.degroot@inter.nl.net: Try not to use too much the standard textures. They feel artificial. Make your own according to your needs. I appreciate your optimism about the future. I hope you are right, also I would prefer to live in a different kind of world :) ===== From p_chan@shaw.ca: The sky looks good, although the clouds seem a bit patchy near the top of the image. Some of the elements in the image, such as the tree in lower left, seem flat to me... I don't exactly know why... I can see the shadow on the tree trunk, but somehow the leaves still don't seem to have depth.
