If you look at robot development today (in Japan for instance) you will remark that their look is much different!! Your robot reminds me more of the past: the 1940's or 1950's ideas of robots. Try to make the scene more interesting: for instance, what is the robot for? What does it do? Place it into a context, not just in the middle of the ocean where it seems out of place and useless. And do not put it in the centre of the image!
