===== From tom@ringard.org: Certainly one of the best. Good idea, nice textures and lightening. Just one regret : I would have liked a little more explanations on your techniques, to learn. ===== From fcueto@rice.edu: I loved your metal textures. ===== From rich@brickbots.com: This is fantastic. I have seen some very nice renders come out of POV Ray, and this is near the top of the list. I think it shows what can be done with POV ray, it really is a very nice renderer if you take the time to use it. The concept got top marks from me, I love the Jules Verne like style as you put it. The textures are spot on, and you used the specularity channels as well. I understand you wanting to keep your lighting and texture tricks to yourself, but people here could learn a lot. Maybe a quick tutorial outlining some of the basics? ===== From Knight-Graphics@earthlink.net: Almost perfect! A bit confusing looking through the door and through where the wood panels are missing. But, I still think this is the winner! ===== From cblouin@cs.dal.ca: This is a very strong entry! Your light and textures are remarkable, great modeling too. ===== From s.day@uel.ac.uk: I love this image, it has a very Wallace and Grommit look to it. Excellent textures. ===== From rgow@lanset.com: Good image! Good modelling, texturing. Lighting seems a little odd as there is nothing in the image to indicate what or where the lighting is. ===== From terraform@upnaway.com: very real looking. what can i say....good.. ===== From skirsch@comcast.net: There are so many good ones this time and this is one of the best! ===== From corvus@onewhiteraven.com: very Wallace & Gromit "A Big Day Out". Are you a fan? ===== From file: Notable for textures, modelling
