===== From skipt1@aol.com: A good use of media and a dramatic presentation. Some texture work would improve the image as well as a more realistic lighting. Nice modeling work. I never heard of using a heightfield to make a human figure in the round, but it works here I guess. ===== From povray@doublezero.uklinux.net: I like this picture. You are right that the marble is a bit flat, maybe a bit of greyness would have helped. ===== From shevlin@uic.edu: The modeling in the scene is done fairly well, although there are many corners and edges that seem unrealistically sharp. The lighting is way off, though. Even though there is sunlight streaming through the window, most of the light in the scene appears to be coming from behind the viewer, which isn't very convincing. The odd lighting makes the silhouette look more like a cardboard cutout standing in the middle of the hall, since it should have all sorts of visible detail with this lighting. Also, the high degree of symmetry in the scene tends to be somewhat uninteresting; a different camera position might make a big difference in that respect. ===== From hildurka@simnet.is: I love the window and the media effect. But the rest of the hall is completely gray and flat, the position of lights is probably causing this. Also radiosity if correctly adjusted helps making dept in scenes like this. Composition is good and the interpretation of the topic also. ===== From renebui@aol.com: Good work. The human silhouette could be better. ===== From phenlikescheese@hotmail.com: Good picture! And also based on one of my favorite pieces of music! ===== From file: Notable for modelling, textures, composition, lighting ===== From file: Notable for lighting
