===== From skipt1@aol.com: Your isosurfaces turned out quite well, nice job. Compliments on the texture work also. A nice landscape and the no fishing sign finishes the scene. The only thing I could suggest would be maybe a little more variation in the terrain or vegetation, but the image is great. ===== From tek@evilsuperbrain.com: very funny! Good use of isosurfaces and nice overall scene layout. I think the image looks a bit dark, like it's a cloudy day about to rain. The lighting should be much harsher for a desert feel. Also the ground fog suggests moisture in the air, if you check some photo reference you might find a blue or even yellow tint to the fog would make it look more natural. ===== From AlaskaS@gmx.de: Ok. It's a desert scene for a desert topic. That's not that much of originality. But the sign is simply perfect in the scene :) And I really like artists, who work completely with pov-ray and not with all those tools and other programs. ===== From rgow@lanset.com: Good one! Great concept, great lighting and atmosphere. ===== From i-mcnamara@cornellcollege.edu: I loved this one... the punch line on the sign really makes it memorable. Good isosurface (I have to do the plug and test method myself) nice textures, and good plants as well. I'm especially impressed with the rocks at the top of the hills in the distance; they are very well placed. Awesome work. ===== From ericf@foothill.net: This image reminds me very much of where I grew up, so that may bias me. I like this image quite a bit. A nicely designed landscape that opens up well before the viewer. Plants look good, the rocks and sand are nicely done. The only quibble I have is the sign, in that it looks a bit plastic to me, not sure why. The lettering and the shape is good, though. ===== From dylan_beadle@yahoo.com: Sign could be more broken, with red ink less saturated... ===== From raytracing@grayproductions.net: Got a laugh out of me and that's always a good thing, I think. ===== From file: Flat image need light Notable for modelling ===== From file: Cool. 'Landshark' anyone? Notable for originality
