I've always been intrigued by rays of light, and this picture does a great job in showing them off. The lack of light in the scene helps to reinforce a sense of loneliness, and by comparison it make the light all the more pleasing. A little more detail_ (torch, something sitting on the stairs, not sure what exactly) might help to fill up the picture a bit. Sill, that_s some very good work.
