===== From skipt1@aol.com: Very effective artistically. There is much to look at in this scene and I can tell that quite a bit of work went into it. Not bad at all. ===== From rgow@lanset.com: Some very good parts to this image, but some (the flowers) don't ssy "desert" to me. Also, water should show some movement around the water jug. ===== From i-mcnamara@cornellcollege.edu: I like the style of picture that you are attempting here, and the bright colors really help to make the oasis seem refreshing and full of life. Good modeling, nice plants, and well lit. I'm not all that familiar with 3DS Max, but your description was easy enough to follow that I feel I understand the basics of how this picture was made. I think that your lighting problem is universal with all programs though. You aren't alone. Anyway, a very well executed image. Keep up the good work. ===== From enrique.sahagun@uam.es: Very beautyful image. I like the water ===== From samthemagical@cs.com: I like the subtlety of the third figure's shadow. Nice. ===== From ericf@foothill.net: I like the layout of this image, it has a very balanced feel, and the figures look reasonably realistic. The other elements, the dunes, the trees, the jug, all look good. Only two things strike me in look at this: 1) I would expect to see some turbulence in the water where the jug is being dipped in it, and 2) the kneeling figure's posture looks wrong to my eye. I think I would expect her to be much closer to the water, folded more, if that make sense. Otherwise a very nice job. ===== From raytracing@grayproductions.net: Enjoy the feel of this piece. It's refreshing to be reminded that photo-realism isn't a requirement to good art. ===== From file: Hummmmm Notable for modelling, textures ===== From file: A heck of a lot of work went into this one. It's only let down by the lack of sky.
