Cute idea.  This image is quite the eye soar though.  The colors are just way
too harsh.  Blue on orange and black stripes: tone it down some.  The modeling
is adequate for the cute cartoon like characters you have created, but then the
other areas such as colors and lighting need to be focused on to compliment and
compensate.

The Idea is really funny and the penguins are cute :)
But you could have spent some more time on the image.
Things like the visible end of the isosurf on the left side of the image are
making me sad. And a sky would have been nice too!

Impressive isosurface, though the texture for the objects could some work.  The
lighting is a little bright for the most part, though some radiosity might help
to light up the really dark shadows.  Simple but effective models, good work.

I liked the concept, it made me smile to see it.  But I wanted to see more
elements of the desert apart from the dunes and the lone cactus.  Also the sky
gradient is a bit abrupt, which takes away from the image.

The antarctic home of those penguins is another form of desert, at least
inland.
Even desert skies have haze or dust if not small cirrus clouds.
