Interesting image.  The only portion that strikes me as 
lacking detail compared to the other elements of the 
image is the tree trunk/branches, as it is a relatively 
large object that's smooth and textured with a solid 
colour.  I noticed a few landmarks on the earth.  
Perhaps you could have used the actual geography of 
the earth, but I suppose the abundance of oceans would 
have ruined the treetop effect.

Pros: Original and personal interpretation of the topic. Notable modelling and
texturing effort. Lighting, colors and composition are good. 
Cons: The link to the topic is tenuous. I found this picture weird and couldn't
quite figure out what it tries to convey.
