(1) Very good.  As you mentioned, it's not scientific, but it does well ad an illustration.
(2) You were the only one to envision the subatomic forces so your image is definately notable for Concept and Originality.
(3) I like the idea of the background atoms, but it makes the main atom blend into the background.  Maybe a slightly different color, or a brighter color.  Or maybe a longer entering neutron trail to more strongly draw the eye to it.

Good work!  The image works quite well as a stylized 
representation of fission.  The only recommendation I 
have would be to put in code to prevent the electron 
clouds from overlapping for the randomly placed atoms 
in the background.  For example, you could store their 
positions in an array and check the distances between 
existing atoms before placing new ones.

Pros: visually appealing picture. Good choice of colors. From a philosophical point of view, it emphasizes the fact that we keep comparing the world to our scale, whereas "infinitely small" things such as atoms and "infinitely large" ones such as galaxies are somewhat similar in their shape and organisation. 
Cons: a greater sense of depth would probably make this picture even more interesting.
