===== From greentho@bellsouth.net: The stones are beautiful. Somehow the sand doesn't come across as sand.... ===== From i-mcnamara@cornellcollege.edu: A fantastic image. The stones are obviously the best part, and they are absolutely stunning. Ironically (after all the time it consumed) the blur effect doesn't really add much to the image; A reduction of the blur (change that aperture value, though I can't remember in which direction) would clear things up a bit and make for a sharper (in more ways then one) image. The sand doesn't look as bad as you make it sound; the texture is actually quite good, though a bit more height and turbulence in the height field might help things out. Great work, please enter again in the future! ===== From mickro.warf@laposte.net: The sea don't look realist... so good idea ===== From am3n_r3@yahoo.com.au: 28 days, you're a prime candidate for dual-core + Pov 3.7! Love the image. ===== From eric.guirbal@cegetel.net: Congratulation for this very beautiful image. Without hesitation I put it in the top two. Just one thing could be better according to me : the sand. Regards, -- Eric Guirbal ===== From mcavoys@aol.com: Sorry no comments but I_ve already commented the first time I voted. ===== From jan.wolski@hut.fi: The image has a unique quality of calmness. The central composition adds to the tranquility. Good use of focal blur. The image is so photorealistic and the atmosphere so intense that I can almost feel the sand between my toes and hear the waves hitting the shore. It makes me feel good. Very few IRTC entries have this kind of emotional impact. Very good work! Best image in this round. ===== From bmh@arkady.demon.co.uk: Brilliant, are you sure it's not a photograph! The stones are perfect. ===== From sshelby@shelbyvision.com: Nice image, but I scored it low on tech because sand texture fails. ===== From file: that's one of the best sands i've seen. absolutely top 3. Notable for modelling, lighting, composition, textures, originality
