"Oh, this one is nice!" "I could do that!" "But you didn't, Mike, you didn't". I was inspired by two things: the first was the picture at: http://www.fassbendergallery.com/Badur/abadur01a.html The second was an exclamantion a guy made at the Smithsonian Museum of Modern Art years ago. However, as my brother once pointed out, "Then do it". It's one thing to look at it and think you can copy it, it's something else to think of it *first*. (My brother has a Degree in Fine Arts, and used to live in an Art Foundary). It turns out to be extrodinarily difficult to make something 'minimal'. The two gray squares are my invention, however. One floats above the other slightly, held by a steel rod. I was attempting to light the scene with a bright outdoor sky plane and just radiosity (and a couple of spots on the art), but I had some issues with Radiosity so I finally broke down and made up a few area lights. I'm not happy with all the lighting, there are some issues. I think the transparency maps aren't working right for the hair on Victoria, and at the last minute her face turned racoonish. I need to get better Radiosity settings. I used Rene Bui's AOI texture experiments as the basis for Victoria's skin texture. It didn't seem to work well with the 'rougher' texture on the guy, so I had to pull it at the last minute. His hands turned black although his face was OK, and the settings were similar on both. The black dress is a poser Dynamic cloth item that I draped to "Glamorous Vickies" current pose.
