===== From tek@evilsuperbrain.com: The chip doesn't really look like it's burnt, and I don't see anything that looks like smoke. ===== From nargy@yahoo.com: Note from an unfortunate overclocker: CPUs dont burn, melt, nor explode when overclocked, but the idea is nice. ===== From ruy@hipernet.com.br: Dead off-topic, no matter what you call it. ===== From glenn@mccarters.net: So let me get this straight: you explicitly chose not to depict any = "rapid movement from one place to another", AND the type of speed that = you depicted is no longer functioning? Hmmmm. I guess I cannot award = high concept points for that! I really like the way you incorporated your name into the image, though. = Very clever. The "smoking hole" area of the image could use more work = to emphasize it better -- I didn't even notice it until you pointed it = out in the text file. Ways to do this could include changing the colors = around the hole (to better distinguish it from the lettering), using = turbulent media smoke, and setting up the lighting to highlight the = smoke by casting a more clearly visible shadow. ===== From 25ct@lineone.net: Nice concept, 'The death of speed'. I do feel that you would have probably liked to have spent more time on this though. Nice modeling apart from rounded edges would have helped this image. Hard to see the smoke.
