Hmmm...Although I do like this scene (reminds me of my own cats...), I am afraid it does not instantly convey the idea of absence.
The building elements are simple, and that's alright. I like particularly the wall stucco.

Great shadows, and the wall surface looks really good. Everything appears to have the same matt finish, however... and I reckon some of those edges should probably be a little sharper.
