The idea behind this scene is interesting, but you should work more on the total setting. For instance, you could place the fencers in a valley, instead of on a hill side which is less effective. In a valley, you can easily build an interesting environment instead of having a featureless expanse that fills a large part of the image and distracts the viewer's attention.
Work also on textures and lighting.
