===== From chipr@niestu.com: Somewhat simple forms and stiff movement. More description would be nice. ===== From agage@mines.edu: Having a description, mention of the tools you used, the renderer used, the amount of time spent, and the methods for attaining certain effects would be nice, especially since it is difficult to learn (in a positive way at least) from a submission otherwise. Modeling and texturing is simplistic, though the camera control is good. The motion is abrupt when the person lands on his feet, etc. ===== From roymeo@eai.com: too heavy on the effects for the crude level of other aspects ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: I like this. I was shocked at the crash. Then impressed with the landing. Then I was rolling on the floor laughing! Great little stretching move at the beginning, suggesting casual inattentive driving. Good camera movement and timing. ===== From karl@pemail.net: A car with some more curves in it would have looked better. The clouds are too bright. The motion of the man flying from the car is good though ===== From nazrat@athabascau.ca: I found the horizon to be quite, for want of a better word, staticky. The sky felt more like a ceiling. Nice action on the figure, but the final bow was almost lost because the light was behind him. (I have found this problem with live cameras as well.) The lens flare also distracted from the bow. During the crash, how did the dummy fly through the car? ===== From bill@apocalypse.org: what goes up, must come down! ===== From hcousineau@usa.net: One thing I like is the sun. ===== From r@stork.docs.uu.se: The motion is pretty good, but the modelling could be a lot more detailed. I think just adding different textures to the white guy would be a great improvement. ===== From r@stork.docs.uu.se: The motion is pretty good, but the modelling could be a lot more detailed. I think just adding different textures to the white guy would be a great improvement. ===== From r@dmsst59.d.resnet.pitt.edu: Rather simplistic - cartoonish but unfortunately not entertaining. Nice use of the lens flare. ===== From r@cust150.webbernet.net: This is a bizarre and disturbing piece. The unnatural sky reminds me of a UFO invasion scene I saw once. The artifacting at the horizon adds to that effect. The car the poor lego man hit must have been carrying something very unstable judging by the explosion and flight of the victim and vehicles. After the mysterious flight and (incredibly) safe landing, the final car crush is quite an anticlimax. After the physics-transcending flight, (cartoonish) reality reasserts itself. Ah, hubris. The art is good for the chosen level of reality, but visibly rotating wheels on the car and at least a stylized face on the lego man would have been nice. ===== From r@auasc7-104.flash.net: The tempo is a bit off.
