===== From chipr@niestu.com: Not bad for a looping animation. A bit thin on topic relevance. ===== From agage@mines.edu: Apart from being an enlongated sphere, a leg object repeated five times, and a checkerboard with a light source, the animation seems like underkill. In other words, the modeling could use more detail; even surface textures would help. Eyes would be a start :) Better luck next time... ===== From dick@buckosoft.com: Good start. ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: Is that it? How about at least adding a head to the poor critter? This would also help the naturalness of the movement: the well-done fluid motion looks mechanical on this headless beast. Thin connection to "transportation". ===== From karl@pemail.net: Nice walking motion. The model is a little simple - perhaps you could have had some antenna waggling. Try using some normals in the textures - they will help to stop it looking flat ===== From nazrat@athabascau.ca: Elegant. I would like to use this one as a screensaver. ===== From bill@apocalypse.org: simple, but well done - you got potential kid! :-) ===== From r@dmsst59.d.resnet.pitt.edu: Compared with the other entries, VERY simplistic - it has promise if the same kinematic system is used on a more detailed model. ===== From r@cust150.webbernet.net: Very minimalist. That is ok in itself, although even a minimalist bug needs antennae and I get tired of checkerboards. No story. That is not ok. I understand time constraint all too well, but indicate *something*. Is it a real bug at a picnic? A robot prototype being studied? An insectiform vehicle exploring? Something, anything to hint at some sort of story would have helped a lot. An entomologist's magnifying glass, a voltmeter, leftover food.... It's okay that you don't have time or resources to tell, but at least hint. ===== From r@auasc7-104.flash.net: Not too bad, but clearly could use some more development. I also am not sure simply walking captures the "transportation" topic -- perhaps if it was a walking vehicle or was carrying a heavy load.
