===== From chipr@niestu.com: Good concept, but the images were a bit stiff and plastic. Also, the movement was too clearly "mathematical". Nice modeling on the plane. ===== From agage@mines.edu: While the modeling is attractive, there are a few minor problems in this animation. First, the motion is very jerky, as you noted in your text file. Next, the plane appears to drift sideways while approaching the runway. Finally, there are two shadows cast by the plane as it lands, suggesting a twin-sun world. ===== From dick@buckosoft.com: Nice models, nice lighting. Could use better motion routines; the plane is quite "static" no roll, pitch, yaw. And it looks like its sliding sideways (slipping) in its decent. ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: The biplane is very detailed and realistic. I could almost hear it. But what about that lighting? Multiple shadows on the mountains? Are there two suns in your sky? Remember this: your eye tends to notice the thing which moves the fastest within a scene. Here, it is the shadows, not the plane. So the multiple shadows become very noticeable. Try to find a way to minimize this. Good landing and camera tracking. Nice texture on the plane. Good effort on the propeller but it is rotating rather slow. ===== From nazrat@athabascau.ca: Okay, just how many suns were there in the sky? Count the shadows. You can just about pinpoint the different sequences used to create the landing. The switching from one vector to another was rather abrupt. Any passenger would have bruises from the sudden shifts in directions. Camera movement could have been smoother as well. Nice plane. Would a partially transparent disk have been a better choice for a propeller? ===== From bill@apocalypse.org: This animation didn't play properly for me, it was choppy - perhaps it was too fast for my hardware (P5-166)? ===== From r@dmsst59.d.resnet.pitt.edu: Nice biplane model, but the animation path is very linear and the propellers need motion blur. ===== From r@dial-up7.webbernet.net: The plane is well made. The pilot enhances it. The trajectory seems too vertical. Those geometric mountains hurt the scene. ===== From r@pm1-21.spectranet.ca: Nice models, but the camera motion could use a little work and the planes flight path is very linear. Notable for modelling ===== From r@auasc7-104.flash.net: A nice model, but the tempo is off. Notable for modelling
