Nice renderings!  You did a good job of doing a pixar type thing with the lamp. 
However, it needed something else.... more than just watching objects go by...
perhaps a show of emotion.... just thinking outloud.

Cute--sort of "Lightwave Luxo".  The bouncing ball was too distorted, and there
was too
much movement--"wobbling"--in the lamp's body.  But overall nice visual effect.
