===== From manorton@jps.net: PFR! Yeay ===== From marlo.steed@uleth.ca: It is too bad the sound was basically unrecognizable after compression. However, the textures and modeling were sensational. I give you top marks for animation. I think the concept was not bad as well.... I rank you right up there with the best. ===== From gregj56590@aol.com: Title is great, related to surprise ending. Characterization is great. Scenery is perfect. My favorite moment is when the robot nonchalantly just jumps infront of a truck: he's probably smart enough to know exactly how fast to walk to not get hit, and doesn't need an extra erg of exertion. Nice scenery, nice motion, nice camera angles. The only thing that is really bad is that by no means is it evident that there is a date between robots: you should have made the female robot a bit more feminine: the exposed ribcage is a bit shocking and in no way suggests a romantic character, even in your otherwise pleasantly eerie world. (Gave you highest score nonetheless). ===== From ldnbruce@flash.net: Dialog was too muffled, took several viewings to interpret. As always very good models, good detail, good animation. ===== From Michael@nmtrix.com: Cool animation, great lightning, cool characters. I am having difficulty with the story though and had to read the discription. Still a good animation. ===== From chipr@niestu.com: Excellent visuals. Modeling, movement, camera work all very nice. My only complaint is that the plot was too complex to cram into such a short piece. I *especially* loved Jeremy's arm movements at the end--very expressive! ===== From mark.wagner17@gte.net: It is not obvious what happens to the MK12. I couldn't get the sound to play, but I agree that the movie looks slightly better when played at 20fps. ===== From file: One note of intrest that I forgot to put in the .TXT file: the music is done by a Christian ex-band called PFR (Pray for Rain) Catchy, huh? Notable for composition, lighting, textures, modelling, originality ===== From file: Notable for modelling ===== From file: Excellent job H.E.! Nothing to tell about modelling, texturing or lighting. But the sound isn't worth it. Leave it off for better quality. What I noticed when I looked on single frames was there is a pixel pattern that reminds me of ordered dithering as performed by DTA. Some frames look like using motion blurring or averaging. Please tell us more about your encoding. This movie shows that there doesn't need to be a 1000$ rendering software if we use free tools wisely. Notable for composition, lighting, textures, modelling
