===== From brendanlemke@canada.com: Good idea. I like the color and lighting but the animation seemed a little too 'stiff' for my likes. I wasn't too sure where the scissors fit in, though. I would also expect the scissors to open or close some when they fall... Nice work, otherwise. ===== From tim_cutho@smileyface.com: Looks very nice, and extremely realistic. The fact that you used dynamics to solve it is kind of a turnoff, it would be much more fulfilling if you did it by hand. It may take longer, but I think you get even better results often. Also, the mouse ball shouldn't bounce that much. But great modelling of all the pieces, accurate texturing and good concept. P.S The swirling camera makes me dizzy. ===== From bill@apocalypse.org: Nicely done mouse, the bouncing ball and camera work was a nice touch The 'blue screen of death' was a little confusing to me... it was on the ball? ===== From ian.print@ntlworld.com: Liked the textures, especially the floor, and the way the pieces fell and moved. Didn't like the spinning camera shot at the start. The bouncing ball was a little to long to maintain interest. Why does the room look round? Shouldn't it have corners? Also there ought to be something else in the room - like the table the computer is on? ===== From thomas_4d@hotmail.com: maya does this type of animation very easierly doesn't it ? rendering looks good, mouse model very good ===== From dearmad@sapere.com: Well modelled. Sorry, but otherwise rather uninteresting. The scissors added a nice narrative touch at the end. ===== From lou_bruce@yahoo.com: A lot of research obviously went into this project. The detail of the modeling is superb. The lighting is great. The floor material and its reflectance are awesome. The animation is flawless every piece behaves exactly as I would expect it to. ===== From english@spiritone.com: It would have been nice to see the mouse fall in real time, hit the ground, then let the breakup happen in slow motion. ===== From file: A simple concept very well executed, great mechanics. If you're thinking of re-rendering, perhaps the scissors could open and close as they bounce, and one of the parts lands just *slightly* below floor level. Fits the Slow Motion theme well. Notable for textures, modelling ===== From file: Notable for originality, composition, lighting, textures, modelling
