===== From brendthess@attbi.com: Humorous in general, and a well told story, but I admit to not being a fan of scatological humor... ===== From tek@evilsuperbrain.com: Quite amusing, but I would have expected more from a Max animation. Also perhaps a little off topic IMO. ===== From evilsnack@hotmail.com: If that's a gorilla, I'm Gandalf the Grey. Also some of the trees pop in and out of existence. ===== From maarten_hofman@hotmail.com: The animation is funny, but to me, it diverges too far from the original theme. Artistically and technically however, it is well done. ===== From Martin.Magnusson.7121@student.uu.se: It looks like the speed is set too high. The opening camping scene looks great. I would try a different lighting setup for the rest of the animation though - a more bluish light would make it look more like daylight. ===== From martin@simaltech.com: Good points for originality - it certainly surprised me! I didn't feel that it very strongly followed the theme, however. ===== From emperorofrome@yahoo.com: funny one ===== From bill@apocalypse.org: You did a good at chaining the scenes and setting them up into a coherent story. The story itself was a but crude, though. The scenes of facial expressions (reacting to the smell) didn't really work for me (I wasn't able to understand the expressions), though the gorilla holding its nose did work. Using that Africa map zoom was a great way to set the story up. ===== From kharrima@pcc.edu: I enjoyed your animation; perhaps a closer look at the shape of a gorilla's jaw and coloration would add to your efforts. Thanks for the viewing fun, Kathleen ===== From jonathan@scudder.no: Original, at least ;-) Good facial expression, and nice shot of the man in the tent from outside. Possible improvements: more detailed ground texture/grass and softer lighting ===== From jouni@mikrobitti.fi: Oh all right. :-) That's funny, and I like your camera runs. I didn't find the theme particularly well suited for the topic, although a force of nature is definitely present. ===== From p_chan@shaw.ca: The characters look very good. The terrain in the background also looks very nice. The one thing I feel could use the most improvement is the fire - it's flickering too fast and, at times, looks as if the height of the fire changes from instant to instant. ===== From batronyx@alliancecable.net: Gutsy and amusing. ===== From glenn@mccarters.net: When I saw the poster, I thought it was a moose! Heh, heh, funny little story. Good animated effects, like the swinging.. er.. bottom. Very nice storytelling, beginning with the map of Africa which sets the stage. Is this really a "force of nature"? ===== From irtc_mail@yahoo.co.uk: The face of the gorilla is well animated but it has a light in its mouth like it has swallowed the lamp of a previous explorer. ===== From file: Not bad! I liked the fire scene, and the 'expressiveness' of the characters. ===== From r@adsl-65-64-194-217.dsl.rcsntx.swbell.net: You got the figures really well! I also like the way they move. You should have spent a little more time on the pants... Notable for originality, modelling
