===== From maal-irtc20030115@anthrosphinx.de: Gives a good feeling of speed. A straightforward interpretation, with a nice twist at the end. Very good implementation of the trembling and shaking! Just wondering why the "start" lettering at the end - shouldn't that read "finish" instead? ===== From Martin.Magnusson.7121@student.uu.se: The animation of the driver is just excellent! The rest of the anim works too. I like the attention to detail shown by the smoke. The anim is a bit drawn out, though. The same story could have been told even if a couple of scenes would have been cut. ===== From maarten_hofman@hotmail.com: Especially the inside of the cockpit (facing the driver) with the bouncing is quite well done. ===== From steven.place@lucidapple.com: The theme was deff there, and a little commic twist at the end helped out. But. . .I thought more time could have been spend on the textures, and on the camera angles. I did like how the inside shook and the person and the steering seemed real. The smoke plume was VERY nice, and I thought you did a good job at that. Perhaps a camera angle for a few second looking from a distance, with an added effect of heat comming from the sand, could have made it very realistic. ===== From glenn@mccarters.net: Most excellent! This crisp clear animation is vivid and detailed. Funny story really captures "speed" (or lack thereof!). Great textures, realistic environment, great flames and smoke. My only complaint might be a lack of creativity on cameras: too many "z-axis" shots and "rotate 10 degrees per second" shots. In your text file I would like to see more about timing, structure, and motion rather than just modeling. A favorite. ===== From pterandon@yahoo.com: I was pleased with the ending, was expecting a dry showcase of special effects until the surprise end. ===== From clem@dhol.org: Good feeling of speed. I like the way the pilot was tossed around. Good flame, but the smoke was a bit too tame. It should have been bouncing off the track in all directions. ===== From suso@suso.org: Nice. Good choice in the camera angles. ===== From r@dup-200-64-229-212.prodigy.net.mx: the scene at the end is very cliched ===== From r@dup-200-64-229-245.prodigy.net.mx: Notable for composition, modelling, textures, lighting
