===== From evilsnack@hotmail.com: A lot of this stuff is well done, but until I read your explanation I had no idea how it related to the topic. ===== From jps6860@yahoo.com: Nice idea but for those that haven't heard of the butterfly effect the animation might be a bit confusing, especially if they don't read the text file. Most of the scenes are great but the bridge scene seems to be missing something. All of the other scenes have multiple objects showing the effects of the wind. During the bridge animation, the bridge is the only thing that moving and it's unclear what is effecting the bridge. Is it wind or is there an earthquake? A few dust clouds would help emphasize that it is the wind. ===== From irtc_mail@yahoo.co.uk: The butterfly's wings look good in the opening, but not so the hills or sky. Butterflies weigh nothing, but the grass here is bent like a diving board on take off. The flight of the butterfly is too smooth, it should be flying straight for a while, then suddenly changing direction. Yours is swooping left and right like a bird. I didn't like the flying camera on the cafe, rushing in, then lurching back out again to a violently sudden stop on the candle. Do you need a candle and the table cloth? The flame is so small I missed it on the first look. I like the fountain effect, but the drops look the size of golf balls. There is a feeling here of waiting too long for something to happen. For the field sequence, the clouds are moving at 500 miles per hour. I like the wheat moving, but again the flying camera makes it difficult to get a good look at anything. I see the povray logo in a lot of IRTC entries. Perhaps it is becoming another version of the reflective sphere on a checkered plane. The blizzard happens too suddenly, but looks good. I dont know why the bird would be flying in that weather though. The bridge scene seems out of place. The weather has gone from the blizzard to a nice sunny day and the wind has died down again. I think the whole animation would fit together better without it, just cutting from the storm to the hurricane. ===== From file: The butterfly effect... Not something I'd normally connect to "evolution." But the animation looks nice. ===== From file: Morphing between the scenes would have done continuity better. Notable for textures, composition, lighting
