If you upgrade to POV 3.0 you could use either:
a) the new crackle texture to simulate the veined pattern common
   in insect wings
b) A dense halo object that fuzzes out on the edges to better simulate
   the motion blur effect you were seeking.

Overall, I can appreciate your attention to detail on the bee.

I love the bee!! Wow!  It is really great, but I'm afraid it's so small compared
to everything else (which, I guess was intentional).  Nonetheless it's a very
inefficient use of space.  I would move the bee closer to the flower and zoom
in.  Great idea about the bee though.
