It's a nice ship, but the backgrounds could use some help. ===== The X-wing still needs work. Your background image is just wrong. The photo-realistic model in front of a pointilism planet-scape is distracting. Try using an airbrush tool (spraypaint) and then soften the image. That gives a nice nebula effect if repeated with various colors (purple, blue and magenta) then add various random white/greay points (stars). Soften the whole image one more time and you'll have a good background that doesn't look out of place. Or, take a sphere, texture-map a red/orange marble pattern to it. Render that, cut and paste it onto the afore mentioned backdrop and soften again. now you have a gas giant. Take two stretched spheres and intersect them at a slight angle. Apply a bumpmap and make it black/gray/brown. Now you have an asteroid. It's the details that I want to see. This exercise takes less than an hour to do (I did it) and can greatly enhance your image. ===== I love the colors in this -- very retro (BTW, that's a compliment!) ===== Please dont submit more than one image of the same thing. ===== NO MORE TYEFIGHTERS!!!! ===== Glad I don't live in that star system. The dozen or so planets and moons are much too close together. The lack of a shadow on Saturn consistent with the moon makes it look like a large dirty light bulb with particularly dirty rings. ===== The backdrop looks entirely too flat.
