Superb but for one flaw. The shadow of the probe is visible on the planet's 
cloud layer which gives one the impression that the probe isn't that small
relative to the gas giant. Are these models to scale?
Maybe the shadow is the silhouette of a second more distant probe....

I have a minor complaint with this image: the shadow of the explorer appearing
on the "surface" of the planet below.  Would an area light solve this by making
that shadow too "fuzzy" to be immediately apparent?

Science fact, not fiction ... space flight ... okay, I'll buy it.  The
modelling could use some work, on the proportions mostly--the boom girders
looked too thick.  And, you used 3DS, sigh.  Attractive scene nevertheless.
