IMAGE DESCRIPTION: 
Nature on Eggplant is green in leaf and stem. The heavy cloud cover
limits the amount of light reaching the surface. The competition for
that light is so fierce that the spider-plant have taken to the air.
It uses large gas-filled bladders to keep itself in the air and 
collects water in it's saucer shaped leaves.


DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: 
Basically the plant is a load of tori, the insect is a few spheres,
and the other flying thing is a few bezier patches. Everything is
hand coded.

The landscape is made with hflab in the following way:
gf 1024 #makes a half height hf to give room for being added
norm 0 0.5 #to the smooth one.
const 0.5
zedge 0 1 #makes a smoothly curved hf.
save smooth.tga #used for the water
add #adds together the smoothly curved and regular heightfields
save landsc.tga #to make the landscape curve away.
