Curious, a surfer is about to dive in and investigate where they are coming from. DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: First, I made the ocean out of a torus. From this camera angle, you could see through the hole in the middle of the torus, so I made an open cylinder to cover it up. That looked a little funny, so I made another torus of the same size, clipped both of them with a plane, and scaled the bottom torus till the hole was covered. Next, I used a large disc for the "sky" with the same water texture as the ocean. Next up is the glass thingamabob (ok, I couldn't think of a better name). It's all just a set of torii merged together. After that is the glass surfer. I used a humanlike object I made for a previous scene. It's mostly a set of spheres and cones. The hardest part in making it was trying to get the proportions right and then trying to connect the joints correctly. The energy spheres are made of white emitting halos. My name is a small text object placed directly in front of the camera. After giving up trying to find the right color and texture to use for it, I have it an "over-transparency" by using transmit 1.25. As you can see, this brightens the colors of the scene behind the text just enough for you to see it. This is very much like the annoying TV station logos they put in the corner of the TV screen. Sorry, but my include files aren't very well documented. Any questions or comments, feel free to e-mail me.
