Note the "raytracing" toy. All objects were originally modelled for this scene. The window and plinth constructive details are carefully made, wood is always oriented along the lenght of parts. The table is an original design, and the chairs were inspired by those of a famous manufacturer of bentwood chairs : Thonet (www.thonet.de). The pink things outside are part of childhood dream. DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: Apart the label on the "fisher's pride" box, no image-map was used. The tiled wooden floor is made of many boxes; The bentwood chairs are made with the help of "torpatch". Everything else is made by hand-coded CSG. The child's head and body is made by a combination of blobs and classical CSG, the hair is a bunch of "stripes" with a hairy texture and some toruses. The eye is completely modelled, including a refractive ... (don't know the word in english; the transparent "lens", you know !). This is the first time I model human beings. I had difficulties to find some informations about drawing (and thus modelling) a child's head; the only source I found said that there were no straight rules to draw a little child's head, because they are inconsistent, and quickly changing. But the shemes they had helped me to start (draw two circle distant from... trace a line that... etc etc).
