Nice lighting!  I also really like some of the effects applied to the wall,
such as the burnt sign.... the lava effect, despite simplicity, works
well.

However, the sparks could use some improvement.... they should follow
parabolic paths and not cross the normal vector, plus there should
be more of them, and they should not all be identical brightness.

However, the total image is quite effective, and the subject certainly
of great engineering significance, even if it is a little lacking
in some of the originality or tiered subjectality of some of
the top images (mine excluded..... this contest is proving to be 
a humbling experience :)).

A very good image, this captures the foundry ambiance well.  I like the stains
on the wall and the pipes in the background.  The text on the safety poster is
fascinating <g>.  It would be nice if the ladle and crucible were a little
grungier.  The sparks are too geometric, also.  I would like to see a worker in
there somewhere to give perspective.  Very good lighting job.
