===== From castlewrks@aol.com: The color scheme chosen for the ice and water lack that "real-feel" that the cycle and bridge have... possibly due to scaling of those objects. ===== From sonya_roberts@geocities.com: Interesting. I like the ice cubes, they have a very cold look (appropriate), though their appearance puts me slightly more in mind of crumpled tin foil then it does of ice. I'm also not sure I like the camera angle on this one; one offset to the side a little more, so the view of the bicycle wasn't so end-on, might have been better. ===== From kaustin@tgn.net: The cycle is an interesting inclusion. I remember seeing articles about them ages ago, with the reduced drag of the aerodynamic body. ===== From chipr@niestu.com: I didn't really see how the various elements "jelled"--they just seemed sorta thrown together into the scene. Nice modeling on the bike. ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: Yes, this is a novel combination. ===== From ethelm@bigfoot.com: Different! ===== From bsieker@techfak.uni-bielefeld.de: Very long hanging bridges are not feasible, even with modern materials, they would either start at too steep angles at the ends or cause too much strain to the bearings at the ends. The wood texture is too regular and shows strong aliasing artifacts. The texture you used on the artifical icebergs looks more like aluminum foil. All this said, I still like the crazy idea of a cyclist crossing a bridge between two floating ice cubes :) ===== From lpurple@netcom.com: The foreground ice block looks good, but the background block looks too square, and has a wierd white glitch just to the right of the bridge footing. Oh, and wouldn't it be better engineering to put a safety rail on the bridge so the cyclists don't plunge to their death in the icy water below ? ; ) ===== From r@cust169.webbernet.net>: I can't buy the rationale, but the ice does look good. I would like to have seen more detail on the bike and bridge.
