===== From djconnel@flash.net: Nice viewpoint -- it would be a very nice scene if more depth were applied to the texturing and lighting and, to a lesser degree, the modeling. ===== From castlewrks@aol.com: The creation of trees is an interesting methodology. ===== From agage@mines.edu: The terrain does not have enough texture to bring out the true depth. ===== From sonya_roberts@geocities.com: I love your heightfield trees solution, though the actual palcement of the trees is a bit too regular, and following obvious contour lines, rather then being at randomized locations. You'd also probably have been better off making the trees of slightly varied heights and sizes for a more natural look. Other then that, the scene is a fairly good. ===== From chipr@niestu.com: Good landscape. Trees a bit too regularly placed; clever way of getting them positioned, though. The shadow of the bridge points out the fact that you need something to help the scale, like atmosphere or something similar. ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: Cool way to add trees to a heightfield -- innovative. Sky seems to be jarringly bright blue. ===== From bobfranke@halcyon.com: I think this image needs more details to bring it to life. I also find the lighting confusing, seems like the trees and hillside should be more illuminated. It looks like there is only one light source. Try adding a couple of dim shadowless lights. This is a good start, keep at it. ===== From ethelm@bigfoot.com: Too basic to be effective. Needs lighting to give modelling. ===== From bsieker@techfak.uni-bielefeld.de: Everything look s abit artificial and broingly lit. The road does not seem to continue after the bridge. ===== From lpurple@netcom.com: The modelling's good; but the colors are awful. The ground is a uniform muddy brown, the trees and the shadow of the bridge barely show up, and the bridge is much too bright. ===== From peter@table76.demon.co.uk: I liked the way you made the trees. ===== From r@cust169.webbernet.net>: Very nice trick with the trees, but the bridge, for some reason, looks too flat (as in not 3d).
