===== From djconnel@flash.net: If there is an award for rendering CPU cycles, I think this takes it :). I think it is a solid image of the physical structure, a novel subject for the contest. However, the engineering aspects aren't stressed in any real way -- I wouldn't be able to guess "engineering" was the subject of the shot of I didn't otherwise know. Also, I think the mushrooms, clearly a visual joke on the shape of the columns, are distracting.... perhaps they represent the natural basis behind the structural integrety of the structure, but their garish coloring steals from this message, and they seem way out of context. The interior of the building is a bit featureless, other than the mushrooms and the light rays -- it could use some meaningful content. The lighting is quite impressive -- the CPU cycles weren't completely wasted. ===== From castlewrks@aol.com: Interesting translation of concept to finished project. Even if the final product required "additions" on your part... the real question is would Mr. Wright concur? ===== From sonya_roberts@geocities.com: Nice work! I like the wierd patterns the glass tubes are casting in the interior of the building. The mushrooms are an amusing touch. ===== From chipr@niestu.com: Once I read the text file and realized what I was seeing, I was very impressed. At that point, however, the mushrooms (while very pretty) became quite inappropriate. Good use of atmosphere. I do like the texture on the mushrooms, though! ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: Looks murky. At first, I thought this scene was underwater! ===== From arcana@sinbad.net: Too much of an atmospheric effect. ===== From bobfranke@halcyon.com: Well, your text file really saved you. At first, I thought this was made up and off topic. Frank was way ahead of his time. Apparently this is not a smoke fee office. Nice job with the atmospheric effects. ===== From wozzeck@club-internet.fr: I really like the idea. Two little things: the textures of the columns is a bit "boring" because of the continuity between elements, leading to artifacts in the back ones; There seems to be strong aliasing problems in your atmosphere sampling: this may come from the upper glass structure. ===== From ethelm@bigfoot.com: Imaginative! ===== From bsieker@techfak.uni-bielefeld.de: Very nice idea, and nice story, too! Great image, as well. ===== From lpurple@netcom.com: Good concept, and good modelling of the columns, skylights, etc. But then the toadstool umbrellas spoil it all. :( ===== From r@cust169.webbernet.net>: The image is impressive and the detail is good. The furniture is a good touch. I really like the lighting and atmosphere. The mushrooms, however, detract. People and/or a realistic garden, perhaps with a tree, would have been better in my opinion. The mushrooms say "This is just a fantasy" instead of "This is an amazing achievement."
