===== From jknepley@nyx.net: The best sand I've ever seen. The perspective you used made the pyramids look a little off, though ===== From djconnel@flash.net: A stunning scene! This is definitely poster-grade stuff. However, while the pyramids are clearly an appropriate subject, their presentation doesn't stress their engineering achievement, nor are they really the focus of the shot (they are rendered basically as shadows). The sane is very nicely done, however... a nice use of texture. Needless to say, the desert sunset (rise?) is stunningly done. The camera flare is a very nice touch. ===== From castlewrks@aol.com: This image would have gotten higher ratings if more work had been done on the construction of the setting, specifically the pyramids and the bases that they are placed on... for example, a while loop with random placement of the layers of stone with bumpy ancient blocks notched and dimpled by the raveges of time. The lighting was chosen because there is little or no detail in this image to show off. POV does a great job of making a pretty picture... the artist is responsible for adding the detail that makes it hard to discern between a picture and real-life. ===== From up@ct.heise.de: I like the mood. ===== From sonya_roberts@geocities.com: The image is quite nice, but maybe a little too simple. Something that showed some of the detail of the pyramids and their surroundings might have been better, though perhaps not as artistic. ===== From daves@wkpowerlink.com: A fairly obvious concept, but you did it incredibly well. The lighting/lens flare and the sand texture turned out great. The footprints aren't obvious until pointed out. ===== From chipr@niestu.com: Excellent ground texture, good use of lens flare on the sun. Could have used a bit more detail. ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: Nice terrain with the footprints. ===== From arcana@sinbad.net: I would have liked to have seen the image without the lens flare, or with a bit less intensive lens flare. Unless, of course, the lens flare is hiding some lack of detail in the pyramids. :{) ===== From bobfranke@halcyon.com: A stunning image. I gave high marks for artistic and concept. ===== From wozzeck@club-internet.fr: Good looking picture ===== From ethelm@bigfoot.com: Artistic . Achieves a lot with a little. ===== From bsieker@techfak.uni-bielefeld.de: The flares look somewhat weird... Too regular. I think the image would have been better with only the centre glare. ===== From lpurple@netcom.com: Nice sky texture. ===== From r@cust160.webbernet.net>: Beautiful moody desolation. The hf ground works very well. ===== From r@ts6-14.hfx.istar.ca: I'm a sucker for lens flares :) Notable for lighting
