As the center focus of the image, the high intensity reflection is used 
to hid the fact that the skate is the least detailed part of the render.
The medalion is excellent.

Very colourful image.  The olympic rings could have used some work though, to
get them to properly interlace rather then intersecting.  The lens flare is
maybe a little too intense.  Nice work on the medal.

Good concept, middling execution.  The "shoe" part of the skate is very flat,
with no shading at all.  The medallion and skate blade and mechanism are good;
the rings in the background look wrong somehow--I think the real rings don't
intersect like that, but overlap instead.  Very nice composition, good strong
colors.

Now I know how they work, although I would not consider this a particularly
great engineering achievement.  The gold medal looks really nice, except the
gold looks a bit green.  Maybe that's a problem with my monitor.  My only
suggestion for improvement is to rotate each Olympic ring separately so they
can be made interlocking, instead of being flat on the same plane.

The way you showed it the skates would not work, they would be too unstable.
The show has an edgy silhouette and the lens flares are quite overdone.
Other than that, not a bad image ...

Eyectching and well composed image.  The lens flare is very appropriate in this
image.  Artistically, the medal may have benefitted if the gold portion was
shinier and more metallic.  The Olympic Rings would have been better if the
colors were bolder, more saturated and if the rings were linked, either really
or via optical illusion, instead of visibly intersecting each other.
