IMAGE DESCRIPTION: 
    Several metallic spur gears arranged within the bands of a
trefoil knot with a Mobius twist. Three distinct metals are used to
differentiate the separate parts - aluminium, brass and copper with iridescent
surfaces.

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: 
    Custom software for generating the
gear shapes, trefoil knot path and fitting all the parts together
automatically. This process can be scripted to create a series of stills for
animating the gears.
