IMAGE DESCRIPTION:

A scene taking from my backyard, literally! A patch of newly growing grass,
baby grass, flanked by a wooden fence and an automatic sprinkler (not currently
on).

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:

I started with a simple blade of grass. It is an elongated cylinder that
has been cut by two spheres. I wrote a small perl program (see grass.pl)
that randonly places the blades of grass. I directedt he output of the
grass.pl program to the grass.pov file. I then created a scene to place the
grass into. The babygrass.pov file contains the definitions for the fence,
sprinkler, and, of course, the blades of grass. The final line just includes
the grass.pov file.
Enjoy! Steven
