===== From spanky@wpi.edu: This is a nice scene and you could totally build a nice waterfall if you play around with the halo object. As it stands, it doesn't look to much like a waterfall, more like someone painted the ground white right there. The foreground is nice. Good work ===== From gregj56590@aol.com: Rocks are very realistic. Water at top of waterfall looks a bit too much like icicles. ===== From d97ta@efd.lth.se: where's the trout, where's the trout? i don't see it! brilliant foreground, but the sky is just plain awful! the heightfield at the waterfalls seems to be painted onto the rock face. try lowering or smoothing out those parts to distinguish them from the cliffs. ===== From stubbs@dundee.net: pretty, especially the foreground. I don't know if brice has fog, but it could use some to give some depth to the background. The jaggedness of the waterfall is a little too similar to the surrounding rocks- needs some contrast in bumpiness. ===== From marc_w@ncx.com: the rock in the foreground looks like its floating above the water. is it just me? ===== From buck@cs.byu.edu: VERY nice job with the water. Look like a real stream. The waterfall is nice touch, too. The surrounding mountains look pretty "pointy," though. ===== From djconnel@flash.net: You've tackled a real challenge in trying to do running water, Unfortunately the rocks betray the illusion of the normal -- the water intersects them in a plane. This isn't bad for Bryce, from which I have never seen top quality results. In this case, the terrain is too jagged... it is clearly constructed from a course height-field. ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: Great attempt at running water. Still has a "crystalline" rather than "frothy" look in the background, but good work on a difficult subject. Some of the foreground water looks photorealistic. The sky, by contrast, needs much more work -- it looks like a typical raytraced sky. Good textures on the nearby rocks. The land on either side of the scene seems too spiky on top. ===== From no13@ozemail.com.au: The foreground water and rocks are excellent. ===== From r@199.45.245.103: Waterfalls are a real challenge, but yu handled it *very* well. Nice job. Notable for modelling
