Nature is revealed in all its majesty from such remote places! DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: The landscape was created as a height-field in hf-lab and tiled in a 12x12 grid and then textured using slope-dependent textures. The trees were created as a mesh using POV's wonderful while loops in conjunction with TMPov's hf_height_at (to give the height of the height-field at a given point). The position of each tree was contrained to fall only between a given minimum altitude and a given maximum altitude, and only on a spot that was no steeper than a given maximum agnel. The generated mesh was then tiled with the height fields. The water is simply a reflective plane. The sky is a gradient pigment with a wrinkle pattern at the lowest levels.
