JPGFILE: surprise.jpg ZIPFILE: surprise.zip RENDERER USED: POV-Ray Unofficial 3.0 beta by The Smellenbergh Team TOOLS USED: Adobe Photoshop 5.0 RENDER TIME: 5hrs 55min 22sec HARDWARE USED: Apple Macintosh Performa 6200/36MB(54 with VM) running Motorola speed604.lib on a PPC603@75MHz chip IMAGE DESCRIPTION: Let the shivers creep up your back at the thought of this icy-cold shower awaiting you... The Element Of Surprise!!! DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: I just took a bucket and measured its dimensions, to put it in a lathe. Same thing done with the water in it, although I had to alter its coordinates slightly, for POV couldn't tell wether a ray hit the bucket or the water - gave a pretty messy look (i.e. The Fly)... Furtheron, I used PhotoShop to make the brick pattern. I was astonished by the real look it gave! In additition, I put a bump pattern underneath it, so even in the lighter areas it looked 3D. Well, what else is there to say? I used Smellenberghs' UnOfficial POV-Ray Beta. With its beter implemented editor and template-manager, it's way ahead of the future. And it's faster than the official Mac-version too. Contact the Smellenbergh team at smellenbergh@skynet.be . Contact ME at joost.egelie@skynet.be . Have FUN!!! (in three dimensions!)
