===== From jknepley@chisp.net: The texture on your water looks too sharp, but otherwise the image is very nice. ===== From agage@csee.usf.edu: The bucket did turn out very well. The water ripples seem a bit rigid. ===== From xeo@home.com: Nice look, thought the pond rippels should be a little more wavy. It would also looks good if there was a little more light ===== From jerry@hoboes.com: Really nice job! Hate to see what you'd do on a computer you liked :*) You are right, the bucket is a very nice feature; and if you had time to change something, most likely the plants could use some work. You might also consider having your computer work when you are sleeping--if Ray Dream can quit and then start up where it left off. ===== From Sean_Hamilton@amrcorp.com: A nice richly colored pic. The ripples from the raindrops seem too sharp and too evenly spaced. ===== From gregj56590@aol.com: Nice contrast for a "nightime in the rain" image. I don't think scale on rings from small rain droplets is right. I'm wondering what is behind the dock. ===== From bsieker@techfak.uni-bielefeld.de: Hm, this is not really what ripples look like. Real ripples are stronger at the center and fall off gently with growing distance. Also different ripples should be of different sizes at any given time. The lighting and overall atmosphere is not bad, but the world ends abruptly. The "bridge" is also very nice. Why did you resize the image? I can tell it's hard work with a 486, I only upgraded from a 486-class CPU (AMD 5x86-133) to my new K6-2/300, after I rendered my entry; it took almost two days. which is about 5 times as fast. Now rendering is fun again :) ===== From pdolan@jps.net: Looks like those models they use in stop-motion animation! ===== From johnson@pharmacy.arizona.edu: Water looks like a ceramic tile with a strong ripple pattern than a pond. The bump level needs to be turned way down. ===== From jaime@ctav.es: Very risky attempt. I never done it (yet:). Perhaps the waves are too well placed, and too separated between them. Also a bit big and without any interference between them. (but you must argue that all this is very difficult to do, I know). Anyhow, I liked the overall effect, the composition, the camera placement, the lighting, the falling drops. The final but is that the image is too small to apreciate all the nice things you done. ===== From Varyk@aol.com: does what you wanted it to. Rain sheet worked especially well. Get a be= tter 'puter! they're so cheap now! Why is everyone using pre-pentiums? = They practically give'em away with Happy Meals anymore. That you can per= servere despite crippling hardware impresses me, you're dedicated. ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: Good effort, although everything looks a little muddled, yucky, mushy (but whaddya expect?)
