She is very sympatic and we talked a lot about this and that. As we recognized, we are living in the same town, we decided to meet. What can be a better place than a restaurant? So we wanted to meet at Pierre's Bistro at 21:00. I arrived there at 20:45, I didn't want to be late as the first impression is very important. Now it's 20:55. How will she look like? As she described herself? Or did she lie like many do in the anonymity of the internet? It's 20:58 the door opens... A really good looking women enters the room. This must be her. The description she gave me is fitting exactly. This will be a wonderful evening. Although this didn't happen this way (in my life) I could think of this happening. I choose this theme for first encounter after thinking about the topic a long time. For an encounter there has to be a person in the scene which I can meet. So how about meeting a girl the first time? Other ideas was e.g. animals meeting the mankind, animals meeting cars the first time aso. But I was always faced with the problem of modeling a person or an animal. DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: The most parts of this picture are coded by hand. Only the free form faces are done with SPatch. At first I modeled the room and began to put the things inside. As I didn't manage to get a parquete with the povray textures, I used an imagemap. I decided, to let the viewer sit opposite to the door, to see her coming inside. Then I modeled the table to sit at. The table-cloth was then modeled with SPatch. The chair is again coded by hand (was a lot of work...). After placing the other chairs and tables in the room I began to put the things on the table. The plate of her (lathe-object) and the glass (lathe-object). The napkin is modeled in SPatch. The cutlery will be brought by the waiter later, because we dont know what to eat later (okok... a bad excuse. Time was flying away.). The lamps are at the wall are also made with SPatch. I wanted to achieve some light effects on the wall. I used light-attenuation to dim down the lightspot on the ceiling. In the candle are 3 lightsources, to get a little bit jigged look of the shadows. Outside the window it's dark, because it's dark, dark night... (also a bad excuse). The biggest problem was to get the girl. But a friend of mine, Anton, has poser on his machine. So he made a good looking girl with poser and exported it to .3ds. With Crossroads I converted it to pov-source. But the materials must be choosen by hand for every part of the body... that took me a lot of work on the 31st of December... Sadly, poser or Crossroads did not give every part of the clothing an own object. So I had to make all the clothing of the girl in the same color. Also, the lips and eyebrows are skin-colored. Also, the eyeball didn't exist. But this looked too curios, so I put two dark-blue spheres into the eyes by hand. At last, I modeled the rose. The leaves are a simple elliptical sphere. Then I made the stem with TreeDesigner.
