The colors are a bit washed out. The three large figures
look like shadows on a wall, are they? The modeling of
the foreground figure and cloak is very good. That
cloak must be made of steel mesh to stay down in that
wind.

Silhouetter of monsters is nice effect. Nice modelling of person.

That's a great warrior. His clothing and hair are very
nicely done.

Great job on the hero! I think there should be some transition between the ground and the wall and there are some problems with the shadows not blending.

Superior modelling on the figure. Great restraint on the pallet. I wish the two background heads weren't duplicates. The wind really bugs me: which way is the wind blowing? I swear the cape and hair are being blown in opposite directions! And although his hair is horizontal, the ice giants dreadlocks are totally still. The "+" symmetry of the scene doesn't do much for me.
Nevertheless, an excellent, well made scene.

It is part of the challenge to create a full size image the right way up.

The human model is brilliant!!! That is an excellent piece
of work.
And the rendering of the giants is cleverly done... the
sillouette adds
a nice sense of suspense.

One comment, though -- in general it is to your best
interest to not
rotate images thus. Part of the "game" is to make the
most of the 800x600
"canvas". It isn't a huge deal, but the rotation thing
can't help your score.

BTW, the snow seems well-trodden by human-sized feet.
What's the story?
The "white-out" conditions plus the wind-blown hair
seem to imply footprints
would be short-lived, yet I see no sign of other humans
around. If there
is one room for improvement, it may be the snow.

But this is nevertheless an excellent piece of work!

Very nice job with the warrior!

Very good. The shadowy figures are more realistic than
attempting to show them fully lit.

Good work on the warrior. Love the cape and the hair.

Nice wind effect on the hair and cloak... but why does it not apply to the giants?

=====
From clem@dhol.com:
The cloak, armor and hair of the warrior are extremely
good. The detail level is not "photorealistic" but
"excellent painted book cover-realistic". The design of
the shadowy giants is interesting and unusual as well.
The snow isn't fully convincing however, and the left
hand of the central giant seems to be a simple oval.
Also, the warrior's hands aren't as well modelled as the
rest of him, and the sword looks too plasticky and
toylike. These are relatively nitpicky flaws however, and
the image as a whole is excellent.
