TITLE: A Dal_ NAME: Txemi Jendrix (J. M. Gonzalez-Pinto) COUNTRY: Spain EMAIL: egonzal@clientes.euskaltel.es WEBPAGE: http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/Studios/7415/, aswell as some of the greatest tutorials ever made for sPatch. I took the model and put different parts of the boat in different layers, so I can texture them separately when exported to Pov-Ray. The mountains were created using Leveller, a great program for making heightfields (I can't give you the link to its webpage because each time I've tried to connect the answer has been that the link is dead). The author is Tapio Vocadlo, also known as Taps, sure you can find it ftp povray. The floating island was created with Blobs for Windows 2.0. The tree was created using the trees.inc file from Sonya Roberts, (http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/Lofts/1022/). The image of Dali was taken from Internet a long ago (sorry, I don't remember the link to it). All the baackground of the image was erased so only the face remained, then I've applied a mask to obtain the translucency of the image and saved it as a 32 bit TGA file. Then I made a flaming halo to surround his face. The lake was created using a disc and a texture from Poblav.inc from Dennis Olivier (hey, don't you know Povlab has become freeware, look at his web page in http://www.povlab.org) I wanted to include more objects but I'm running out of time, so this is the end; perhaps I'll keep on working on it till I'll be satisfied. That's all, folks. P.S.: I want to thank to the people who take their time to see my images and more time to send their comments, I like them a lot and always are useful. LOS QUE QUIERAN LEERLO EN ESPA_OL QUE VAYAN A LA LINEA 104 IMAGE DESCRIPTION: Excuse me for my bad english, maybe someday I'll learn more. If there has been a person that has showed me other worlds, that is Salvador Dali. Since I was a child I've always loved his paintings, his own image, the way he talked and the things he said. On January 29 has been his 10th aniversary of his death. I'm still amazed that nobody in press or television here in Spain has said a thing about him. As you know he was spanish, and perhaps you don't know it, but he donated all his work to Spain, and, after all, he has been one of the most important painters in XX Century, at least for me. This is the way Spain pay to his genius (%&#!!). So this is my little tribute to him, though I find it half made (time ...). I hope you like it. DESCRIPTION OF HOW THE IMAGE WAS CREATED: First of all, the boat was made by Anto Matkovic with sPatch. It's a freeware model that you can find and download in his
