TITLE: Blophel NAME: Florian Sanwald COUNTRY: Germany EMAIL: flo.s@t-online.de WEBPAGE: doesn't exist TOPIC: Imaginary Worlds COPYRIGHT: I SUBMIT TO THE STANDARD RAYTRACING COMPETITION COPYRIGHT. JPGFILE: blophel.jpg RENDERER USED: povray 3.01 (DOS) TOOLS USED: Fractint, Quickbasic RENDER TIME: 2 hrs HARDWARE USED: Pentium 200 (it took 24 hrs on a 486 33) IMAGE DESCRIPTION: This intends to be some ugly, crazy worm-a-like thingsbums. DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: This started as a copy of the sample piece3.pov. The helix coordinates (blops and thorns) were created with tiny quickbasic programs (sin(t), cos(t)& RND(x)-stuff) generating coordinate lists. I was using Povray sample textures except the blue metal. The bumps and mountains are based upon Fractint images (Julias and Plasma). Except the fun building all this stuff...thats it.
