DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: 


The main part in this scene is the surface of ganymed. It is in fact a
height_field
made with gforge. Jupiter which you can see in far space is a sphere with a
texture mapped.
The white stars are spheres as well, distributed randomly in space.

The black obelisk is a box with rounded edges.

Well, some light sources and a background with galaxy by Steve Colefax, that's
it.
