Well, that's what I liked to capture with this picture. Unbelievable? Who knows. Did you read lately a book? DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: I started with the creation of the book pages in RDS and imported them into Bryce. The texture for the left page was made in Paint Shop Pro were I took a simple text from Word and layered it on a leather like picture. I imported then the picture as a texture map into Bryce. The right page was a little bit more difficult to create. I rendered a door in RDS and transfered the picture then into Paint Shop Pro Here I manipulated the picture, so that the edges of the door are round. The final image was then used as the texture map in Bryce for the right page. From the original door in RDS, I took the right side and imported it as object into Bryce. The door textures are Bryce default textures. Then I added then the hand, modeled in Poser, and exported the hand also as object into Bryce. Bryce terrain editor was used to create the fog. The final touch to the scene was the placement of 12 different light sources. A final remark. If you look closer into the fog, you can see a transparent ghost. This effect of the terrain with the light was totally unexpected.
